Real estate has always been a passion of mine. I used to go through open houses and view model homes in my spare time, so it was only a matter of time before I got into real estate!

During my time in real estate, I have discovered that I have a special skill for managing home renovation projects. Over the last two years, I have done five flips which have all been very profitable.

People often call me after they have done a flip in order to get my opinion. Unfortunately, the feedback is often not very positive.

I have found that many people really need professional help when it comes to flipping a house. Most people go significantly over budget, choose finishes to their own taste instead of making choices that would enhance the property's desirability, or go behind schedule for lack of reliable contractors. The list of possible problems is almost endless.

Leasing coordinator

From my experience in the leasing (rental) world, I can tell you for a fact that a bad tenant can change your life for the worse. Under Ontario law, tenants have far more rights than landlords do, and that is a fact to keep in mind before you accept a new tenant.

There are many ways in which a leasing coordinator can help you. As an example, most people viewing a rental unit have no problems asking the owner to include the utilities in the rent. With a third party showing your unit, however, people are usually not so willing to ask for freebies.
